BonJour Hello or Good Day

This card was created for Heart2Heart Challenges - Monday June 8, 2015 "Around the World - Maps." Since I had a stamp for the Eiffel Tower in Paris, I thought I could dream about a vacation trip to France and who knows maybe some day this dream may come true.   I used Sentiment BonJour because it meant Hello or Good Day.  I'm not sure how I will use this card in the future so if anyone has any ideas let me know.

Outside of Card:  Found a free map on the internet and printed it on vellum and then adhered the vellum to Colonial White cardstock to appear aged.  Stamped Eiffel Tower in Black, fussy-fussy-cut, used clear embossing powder and heat embossed and adhered with 3D Foam Tape. The lettering was stamped with Black Ink, adhered to black cardstock and raised with 3D Thin Foam Tape to background design paper.  Sentiment was Text I created in Cricut Design Space, welded, cut and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I won some black embellishments from Color Dare and used a few of the sequins and flairs on this card...was unsure how or when I would use them but fit right in with this card.

Inside of Card:  Used some of the background design paper and stamped the Eiffel Tower on this paper, adhered to bottom right-hand side, and also added the postage stamp.

A Smile and a Cupcake

This was a combined challenge using the Theme from Heart2Heart "Let them Eat Cake" and the Hand Stamped Sentiment Sketch Challenge #214.  Why not a cupcake with a Sunny Smile?  And when I saw the Sentiment on the Stamp Set S1412 "Cutie Pie SOTM" I couldn't resist a Smiley Face as part of the card. The Sentiment makes this card a pretty generic card for any occasion and/or age.  Raised the Sentiment with 3D Thin Foam Tape, and cupcakes were also raised on the Sentiment for more dimension (see photo of closer view below.)

Poppy You're special

This card was made with the Poppy image Annes Digital Art for The Outlawz - Freebie / Progressive Challenge June 2015 using Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge #104 (turning it portrait).  Click on and see The Outlawz Challenges and Sunday Stamps Design Teams' inspirations for this challenge, and visit Anne's images for her other artwork.

I was looking up to see the season for the Poppy and found that poppies are most plentifully available in the spring and summer and are grown both commercially and in gardens throughout the USA.  My sister-in-law always had large variety of wild flowers in her gardens (the poppy was one of them) and her gardens popped with all the colors. Read more about poppies at America Meadows.

Using a larger Stamp Set of Poppies borrowed from my friend and neighbor I stamped in black ink and then did some fussy-cut on two of the edges and adhered to the bottom right-hand corner inside of card. Personal sentiment will be added to card when I use this card for someone special.

Happy Birthday 21

This card is for my grandson's 21st birthday who was born on July 3rd.  We always tried to celebrate his birthday separate from the 4th of July, but that didn't always happen.  However, this birthday is a new milstone for him, and he should enjoy all the 4th festivities and celebrate all week with others responsible for driving.  Again I have combined Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #113 and the ColorMyHeartColor Dare #148 Challenges to create my card.

Again I didn't have any paper matching 4th of July theme so I made my own backgrounds using 3 strips of Daisy White cardstock and stamped chevrons using Outdoor Denim and Cranberry inks.  I layered each Chevron Strip with the opposite cardstock color, and placed on 5 x 7 Daisy White cardstock.  The center spin wheel was stamped with Outdoor Denim, fussy-cut and then layered and and again fussy-cut with red cardstock, adhered to card with 3D Thin Foam Tape.  From Cricut Cut Design Space created "21" with text, welded and cut and placed on spin wheel. The rockets were in my stash, fussy-cut and adhered to card with a double layer of 3D Thin Foam Tape for additional dimension.  The Sentiment was stamped with Outdoor Denim and design around sentiment with Cranberry Ink, layered with cardstock and adhered to Card.

Keeping It Real

Using Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 #118-49 (turned Sketch Upside-Down) I made a Birthday Card for my Son-In-Law who loves the Arizona sunshine.  They moved from Buffalo NY to get away from the snow.  He's a fan of Popeye so I did a card with him relaxing against a cactus (ouch) in the triple digit heat...and would you believe even in this heat, my son-in-law daily heads for the hot-tub.

For Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 #118-49, I chose to do the Sketch upside down so that I could put the sun in the upper r-h corner.

Paint By Canvas - Flowers

Lisa planned a surprise activity when her friends, Patti and Kathy, came out during their June, 2015 vacation visit...well surprised up until the night before when someone slipped and let the cat out of the bag.  Who needs Paint By Number... we selected to do Paint With Canvas at Naber's Bar in Chandler...it was a great day of fun and look at all the talent brought out with just one glass of wine. We will plan another Painting experience for an Arizona Sunset.

Snowflakes are Kisses Sent from Heaven

The sketch for this card is from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #112, using the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #147 Monochromatic (in your choice of any color.)  This was a tough one...but I finally got something together in blue, and getting a head start on my Christmas Cards.

Background made from White Daisy Cardstock and dry embossed with CTMH Dot Embossing Folder.  Snowflakes cut from Cricut Design Space.  Added layer of white to back of the larger flakes and fussy-cut.  Large snowflake was raised with Thin 3D Foam Tape, and brushed on Wink of Stella. Stamped Snowman, colored with Shin-Han alcohol-base pen, fussy-cut, raised with 3D Foam Tape and added Wink of Stella.  Used a Hole Punch to cut centers of snowflakes from White Glitter Tape, and then added Liquid Glass. Layered Sentiment with cardstock and raised with 3D Foam Tape.

Please check out Atlantic Hearts and Color Dare and Fantabulous Cricut Challenges and see the Design Teams inspirations on these challenges.

You get to choose your own colors!
The catch is, your project has to be monochromatic.

4th - It's Time to Celebrate

When I was looking at the Freebies on DeeDee's Digis, I saw a snowman that was all dressed up for a Patriotic Holiday and I pulled out from my Collection a Patriotic Snowman to display and decided to do a card using Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2-57 for the 4th of July Holiday, since it's just around the corner, and this will be my sister-in-law's card for July.
