Hug In a Mug - Dare to be Artsy

DAY 7 AM - 2017 FALL COFFEE LOVERS BLOGHOP

Purchased a new Stamp Set by Dare 2B Artzy "Hug in a Mug" for the Fall Coffee Hop.  In viewing their Shop noted there was a link to their current months Challenge "Ship Shape" which required a shaped card.  I was making a K-Cup Holder as a thank you gift and thought this would fall into that category.  Previously made K-Cup holder as a gift for Christmas so I went back to the You Tube tutorial Simply Simple K-Cup By Connie Stewart to refresh my memory.

For my cups I stamped one in second generation black, and then used a Mirror Block from Paper Smooches to do a reverse cup. Colored cups using a combination of Copic colors to match up to the design paper, fussy-cut and then adhered to background with thin foam tape for dimension.  Stamped Sentiment and put on the K-Cup finger handle behind the the K-cups.

With a latte Love

DAY 6 PM - 2017 FALL COFFEE LOVERS BLOGHOP

Back a couple weeks ago created a few backgrounds using the shaving cream technique with the thought in mind to use this particular background for the Fall Coffee Bloghop with colors to represent a latte for my Lil'inker stamp set...I think it turned out brew-tiful.

This was the Lil' Inker stamp set I won for one of the random draws at the 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers BlogHop ... so anxious to use this stamp set in the next Coffee Lovers BlogHop.  Using the masking technique, I stamped three cups in cocoa color using the Misti to cover the background well. The latte tops were stamped with chocolate ink lightly so that the background colors showed through the design. Combined two of the stamps for the sentiment because they both fit the image so well. Used three different color sequins from the bronze sequin packet in the bottom corner. Card went together pretty fast, CAS, and turned out brew-tiful.

Along the border of the inside stamped with cocoa ink the same latte designs.

Happiness Is a Cup of Coffee

Back a couple weeks ago created a few backgrounds using the shaving cream technique with the thought in mind to use this particular background for the Fall Coffee Bloghop with colors to represent an autumn day.

Masked and stamped the background with several leaves in a variety of colors, and then to give it more texture ran it through the crackle embossing folder.   I then went through my stash of previously stamped die cuts and chose the branch and little birdies holding a cup, colored and adhered with 3D foam tape.  Found a stamp sentiment, colored, layered and adhered to background with foam sheet.

On the inside of the card, stamped masked and stamped three leaves and acorn on the bottom corner and stamped a frame for a sentiment.

Thank You - Coffee Lovers 2017 Fall BlogHop

When we had our Crop back East, one of the girls (Donna Davis, Diary of a Scrapbook Addict) introduced us to the Mosaic Moments Photo Collage System for scrapbooking. Usually scrapbook pages to me are minimal...so I decided to make a couple of cards (a little larger than A2's) using their 12 x 12 scrapbook cardstock, and dies for the squares.

Chose a couple of floral design sheets from a 6 x 6 Paper Pad by Jen Hadfield "Simple Life" for placing on the squares.  The sentiments were in the same paper pad.  Added flowers and foliage and placed a small wooden teacup among the flowers.  You can see my other floral card HERE.

How've You Bean - H2H Sept Wk#3

DAY 4 PM - 2017 FALL COFFEE LOVERS BLOGHOP

This is my Design Team project for Heart2Heart "Aarrgh - 9/19 Int'l Talk Like a Pirate Day".  Talk Like a Pirate Day was initiated in 1995...go HERE to read some history about how this came to be a holiday. Remember you have all month to create to be eligible for recognition as one of the Top 10 "Darlings". AND if you create a project for each challenge in the month of Sept, you will earn a badge as an H2H Addict for Perfect Attendance.

For additional inspiration on this Challenge hop on by to see what other Design Team members have created. Hope this gives you some inspiration and enthusiasm to link your artwork as a participant ... we look forward to your creativity.

I had been wanting to use the Paper Smooches Mirror Blocks to create a reverse of a stamp...so chose our cute little Pirate. It took a couple of attempts creating a good reverse stamp of the pirate...but when happy with the stamp, both images were colored with a variety of copic pens, fussy-cut and set aside to decide on the scene. Using a design paper from Regatta for the background water and sky, stamped a small fleet of Pirate Ships, partially colors the ships, added waves, and stamped the sentiments Ahoy Matey and Happy Birthday.

Used a die to cut out my sand...again many cuts were made but finally got a sand dune that represented sand. This card was so much fun to make and it wasn't until my Happy Birthday sentiment was added and remembered that I also wanted this to be a card for the Coffee Lovers BlogHop.

So how do I accomplish this...on one of my coffee stamp sets there was another sentiment "How've you Bean?" and then stamped a number of coffee beans on the sand to represent pebbles. The stamping of the beans were somewhat difficult working around all the stamping, but I was able to pull it off without smudging or tearing it apart. In my stash I had a sign which had been previously cut for a project never completed, cut it down a bit, changed the words and added to the bottom.

On the inside added a few more coffee beans on the border. My daughter had some really teeny-tiny die-cut cups so at the last minute, and new photos, three of them were added to my coffee card.

This was such a fun and whimsical card to make and will be going off in the mail to a special person who has a birthday on this day, and who also enjoys Starbucks Coffee a gift card will be included.

Coffee - Coffee Lovers 2017 Fall BlogHop

DAY 3 PM - 2017 FALL COFFEE LOVERS BLOGHOP

Three dies and an embossing folder made up my card.  Pieced together the take out cup and used thin foam sheet to give the cup some dimension.  The die cut rings reminded me of coffee rings which were adhered directly to the embossed background, and placed three coffee bean embellishments.  Card came together pretty fast.

Cat-itude You're the Cream in my Coffee

DAY 3 AM - 2017 FALL COFFEE LOVERS BLOGHOP

Wanted to enter a card in the Guest Design Search and the September Month Challenge "Animals" at Paper Smooches, so this gave me the opportunity to use the adorable My Mind's Eye "Meow" paper pack purchased awhile ago and the Paper Smooches Cat die.

Now to look for something to relate it to the Coffee BlogHop...Looking through my coffee sentiments "You're the Cream in my Coffee" was perfect and could use that as the sleeve to my Cozy Coffee die, added from stickers a milk bottle and the "Cat-Itude" sentiment.

On the inside of the card used another cut of the cat and a corner cut from design paper.
